The project focuses on the history of the Old Leipzig Station in Dresden and, in particular, its role during the Nazi persecution and deportation of Dresden’s Jewish population.

Project Name

The term “Last Stop” refers to the station’s historical function as the final stop for people who were deported from here. The apparent real estate marketing creates a deliberate artistic tension between the present, economic exploitation, housing, and historical memory.

Artistic Approach

Through this project, the artist aims to keep the history of this place visible and in the public consciousness, and to raise the question of how memory can endure in the present at a site burdened by history.
