THE GOLDSTEIN

History, Space
, and the Present.

The Goldstein is a spacious two-room residence with a distinct sense of tranquility and proportion.

The open-concept living and dining area serves as a seamless focal point. Rather than recreating historical elements, they are deliberately highlighted and combined with modern finishes and precisely crafted details.

Two bedrooms allow for a clear separation between private and shared areas.

An apartment for people who don't view historic architecture as mere scenery, but as part of their daily lives.

THE GOLDSTEIN

The design of The Goldstein by STEIN & PARTNERS features a clean, light-colored material palette that blends the historic structure with contemporary comfort.

Large-format natural stone, mineral plaster, and warm wood create a subtle palette that complements the spacious proportions of the former train station.

The arched windows serve as a connecting element between the interior and the landscape. Their rhythm defines the spatial effect and allows the changing daylight to penetrate deep into the floor plan. Custom-made built-ins echo the austerity of the architecture, while softer furnishings and textile surfaces provide a cozy counterpoint.

Durable, natural materials and resource-efficient finishes were used for the renovation. Existing structures were largely preserved and supplemented with new fixtures designed to last for many years.

Help make "Last Stop Lofts"  a reality

A historic site in Dresden. A new chapter.

Last Stop Lofts is a concept that aims to transform one of Dresden’s most significant historic sites into an extraordinary collection of loft apartments—with the goal of preserving the building’s character and history while breathing new life into it.

For this vision to become a reality, the city of Dresden must make the property available for this project.

We are therefore collecting public expressions of support to demonstrate that there is genuine interest in preserving this extraordinary place, reimagining it, and making it accessible to a new generation of residents.
